Description Offered here is a vintage Springfield Arms Company Model 53A single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle ammunition. The rifle features a blued steel barrel and action, one-piece hardwood stock, manual bolt action and factory open sights. This example is in fair, honest used condition. The wood shows numerous scratches, handling marks, finish wear and discoloration consistent with age and field use. The metal retains limited original finish with areas of thinning, brown patina, surface oxidation and general wear. The bolt, sights and major components appear present. The action functions during a basic hand check but the rifle has not been test-fired. Please carefully review all photographs for the most accurate representation of condition.
